Sun Belt Conference Announces 2023-24 Academic Honors
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Sun Belt Conference announced 2023-24 academic honors on Friday which featured 18 Wildcat representatives across the Commissioner’s List and Academic Honor Roll.
The Commissioner’s List honors student-athletes who earned a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or better during the 2023-24 academic year. From Kentucky men’s soccer, honorees included Aboubacar Camara, Alfred Baafri, Ben Damge, Eoin Martin, Isaiah Chisolm, Josh Gordon, Logan Dorsey, Martin Soereide and Ryan Jack.
The Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who maintained a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 for the academic year. Andrew Erickson, Casper Mols, George Chunuwe, Joel Gonzalez, Marqes Muir, Mason Visconti, Mathias Yohannes, Max Miller and Silas Borgman.
The Sun Belt Conference placed over 3,200 student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List and Academic Honor Roll for the 2023-24 academic year. Those recognized include 1,916 student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List and 1,355 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll. In addition, 141 student-athletes earned the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award.
All Sun Belt Conference programs in the sports of beach volleyball, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s track & field and volleyball boasted an average GPA of 3.0 or better.
