Elisa Boozer Signs with Rifle for 2025-26
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Elisa Boozer, a nine-time Oklahoma state champion that is considered one of the best 12th-grade women shooters in the nation, has signed an agreement to join the University of Kentucky rifle team for the 2025-26 season.
“Elisa is going to be a great addition to our program as she will bring with her good energy and a strong competitive nature,” UK head coach Harry Mullins said. “Elisa played tennis before her rifle career really took off and is very athletic because of that. She has really developed a great passion for the sport and Coach Papasodora and I believe combining that passion with her skillset will equal a large upside in the years ahead. We are very excited she has signed and will become a Wildcat.”
Boozer will bring an accomplished junior career to Lexington in the Fall of 2025. The native of Moore, Oklahoma, is a nine-time Oklahoma state champion and has been a Junior Olympic qualifier five times. Considered one of the top 12th-grade women shooters in the nation, Boozer competed nationwide with the OK Sharpshooters, which is ranked as one of the top-10 teams in the nation. Internationally, Boozer recently had success finishing with a silver medal in 10m air rifle women’s junior at the Leppa Grand Prix in Finland. She has earned a Junior Distinguished Shooter Medal from the Civilian Marksmanship Program and has been named an honorary life member of the Oklahoma Rifle Association.
