Men’s Soccer to Honor Seniors in Friday Night Matchup

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer (4-5-5, 3-2-2 Sun Belt) will honor its four seniors on Friday for a 7 p.m. EST matchup against No. 6 Marshall (9-1-4, 4-0-3 Sun Belt).

The contest will close out the 2024 regular season homestand celebrating Logan Dorsey, Eoin Martin, Martin Soereide and Nick Zielonka.

The Wildcats enter the contest after a 5-0 victory over Coastal Carolina on Sunday for the largest margin victory since 2022 when UK defeated Georgia Southern, 6-0. Dorsey recorded the first hat trick since the 2022 season earning Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week and NCAA Player of the Week honors.

The Thundering Herd comes to Lexington after a 3-3 draw at Georgia State last Sunday. MU currently sits in second place of the Sun Belt standings while UK holds the fourth spot with 11 conference points.

Kentucky and Marshall hold an all-time series record of 12-8-4 (UK) with the first matchup taking place in 2005. The two programs last went head-to-head in the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Tournament which resulted in a 3-0 Marshall win in Huntington, W.Va.

Big Blue Nation is encouraged to Pack The Bell as free pizza will available to the first 100 students. Soccer fans under the age of 12 wearing a soccer jersey will get in free for the Friday night contest.
