Men’s Soccer Set to Face WVU in Friday Conference Contest

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer (1-2-3, 0-0-1 Sun Belt) will travel to Morgantown, W.Va. to take on No. 6 West Virginia (5-0-2, 1-0 Sun Belt) for a 7 p.m. EST Friday night matchup at the Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

The Wildcats opened Sun Belt Conference competition last week with a 0-0 draw against Georgia Southern at The Bell Soccer Complex. Tomorrow’s match will be the second road contest of the regular-season schedule and the first of conference play for the Cats. The Mountaineers opened their Sun Belt schedule with a road test and 1-0 victory at Old Dominion.

Kentucky and West Virginia hold an all-time series record of 3-0-1 UK with the first contest taking place in 2001. The conference rivals last went head-to-head in Lexington during the 2023 regular season which resulted in a 1-0 Big Blue upset of the then-ranked No. 2 Mountaineers.
