Men’s Soccer Prepares for First Road Test in Nashville

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer (1-2-1) will travel to Nashville, Tenn. for the first road test of the 2024 match slate against Lipscomb (2-2-1). The two teams will go head-to-head Saturday at 8 p.m. EST at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.

Both the Wildcats and Bison enter the contest looking for redemption after recording losses in their last matches. Kentucky fell to Louisville on Monday, 0-1, while Lipscomb was overcome by No. 19 Charlotte on Sunday, 2-3.

The rivalry between Kentucky and Lipscomb began in 2016 when the programs faced off in Lexington resulting in a 1-1 draw after two overtime periods. Since then, the Cats and Bison have created an all-time series record of 4-1-1 which the last matchup taking place at Kentucky last season. The match resulted in a 3-2 UK victory. Saturday’s contest will be the second face-off on the pitch in Nashville where UK came out on top 3-2 in overtime.
