Kentucky Men's Basketball To Hold Open Tryout Aug. 30

The University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team has announced that an open tryout for the 2024-25 season will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024.  The tryout will be held from 6:30-8 a.m. ET in the Joe Craft Center for those invited to participate.

The tryout is open to all full-time, academically eligible UK students.

For those interested, we ask that you email ukmensbasketball@uky.edu with the Subject: UK Walk-On Tryout.

The Interest Email should include the following information: 

1. First and Last Name
2. UK ID Number
3. UK Email
4. Cell Phone Number
5. Playing Experience (HS, JC, Transfer) & Profile (Height, Weight, Etc.)
6. HS Coach Contact Info

 Note: If you have been selected for tryouts, you will receive a Try-Out Authorization Form and this will be emailed to your UK email. 

The following Required Documents will need to be submitted with your Try-Out Authorization Form before Monday, August 26^th, 2024 in order to be cleared to tryout. 

1. Completed Basketball Physical Paperwork (you can schedule an appointment with your primary care doctor or go to student health)
2. Copy of the FRONT and BACK of your Insurance Card.
3. Copy of Sickle Cell Test (with Negative Test Result) – test results take a few days to process.
