Six Wildcats Named ITA Scholar Athletes, Women’s Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis has been recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team following the 2023-24 season. In addition to the team honor, six individual student-athletes have been named ITA Scholar Athletes.

To qualify as a Scholar Athlete, players must earn a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the 2023-2024 academic year. All-Academic Teams must hold a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.2 for the 2023-2024 academic year.

For the second consecutive year, Ellie Eades, Zoe Hammond and Makayla Mills saw recognition as Scholar Athletes with Julia Zhu and Elizabeth Stevens earning their first ITA academic honors. Fifth-year senior Maialen Morante was honored for the fourth time of her Wildcat career.

In addition to the six student-athletes who received individual honors, Kentucky was also honored as an All-Academic Team for the sixth consecutive season dating back to 2019.
