Kentucky Men’s Tennis Signs Canadian Eric Crivei

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2024-25 Kentucky Men’s Tennis roster continues to take shape, as Eric Crivei (CREE-vey) has officially signed with the program, head coach Cedric Kauffman announced Thursday.

“We are excited that Eric is joining us,” Kauffmann said. “Eric is a worker with a great mentality and a lot of potential. We are ready to get to work with him.”

A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, Crivei joins the Wildcats after a successful junior career on the Canadian circuit. Most recently, he finished as the runner-up of the 2024 Canadian Junior National Championships  He currently holds an ITF junior ranking of 737 and features a career-high rank of eight in the Canadian junior national rankings.

Crivei has found success at the Canadian U18 Indoor National Championships, finishing in sixth place in 2023 after reaching the consolation finals. In 2024, Crivei was a quarterfinalist in both singles and doubles. At the 2023 Canadian U18 Outdoor National Championships, Crivei reached the Round of 16.

Crivei will join a 2024-25 Kentucky Men’s Tennis squad that is looking to defend its SEC Regular Season and Tournament championships, as well as build on the program’s third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
