Kentucky Men’s Tennis Signs France’s Antoine Ghibaudo

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s tennis head coach Cedric Kauffmann continues to add to his 2024-25 roster, announcing the signing of Antoine Ghibaudo, a 19-year-old from Paris, France, on Thursday.

“We are so excited to have Antoine joining our family,” Kauffmann said. “He is a person of high character and his upside in tennis is as high as anyone. He is a relentless worker which will make him a perfect fit on our team. Antoine has played with the best players in the world and has a lot of experience. He will contribute right away, and we can’t wait to get going to help make him the best he can be on and off the court.”

Ghibaudo is an accomplished junior player who has also had some early professional success. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 705, and is currently ranked No. 743 worldwide, making him the second highest-ranked ATP player among incoming collegiate freshmen.

As a junior, Ghibaudo appeared in a number of prestigious events including the Junior Championships at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Australian Open, as well as the Junior Davis Cup Finals. He reached an International Tennis Federation Junior ranking of No. 14, winning five singles and one doubles title.
