Kentucky Men’s Soccer Announces 2024 Fall Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer head coach Johan Cedergren announced the program’s 2024 fall schedule Friday afternoon, revealing dates, scheduled times and locations. The slate includes two exhibition contests, seven non-conference matchups and a nine-match Sun Belt Conference fixture list.
To kick off the season, the Wildcats will start on the road in an exhibition contest against Memphis at The Range at Station Camp High School in Gallatin, Tenn. (Aug. 11). The match will be followed by a home exhibition at the Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex versus Northern Kentucky (Aug. 16).
The Cats will then open the regular season schedule at The Bell hosting Oral Roberts for a 7:30 p.m. EST match on Thursday, August 22. Following nearly a two-week break, Kentucky will host Virginia Tech (Sept. 2) and Wisconsin-Madison (Sept. 9) before in-state rival Louisville (Sept. 9). All three home contests will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Next, in Nashville, Tenn., UK will face its first true road test of the season at Lipscomb on Sept. 14.
Kentucky will begin Sun Belt play on Sept. 20th as the Cats host Georgia Southern for a 7:30 p.m. match at The Bell. Conference competition will then take to the road for the next two matches as UK visits West Virginia (Sept. 27) and South Carolina for the unofficial Southeastern Conference Championship (Oct. 4). Kentucky will conclude its nearly three-week road trip in Bloomington, Ind. facing long-time foe Indiana (Oct. 8).
Back at The Bell the following Friday, Kentucky will host Old Dominion for a 7 o’clock matchup on Oct. 11. Bradley University will come to Lexington the following week (Oct. 15) before the Wildcats hit the road again traveling to James Madison (Oct. 19) and Central Florida (Oct. 23).
Kentucky will return to The Bell for its final two conference home contests against Coastal Carolina (Oct. 27) and Marshall (Nov. 1). The regular season schedule will conclude on the road at Georgia State (Nov. 5).
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will begin Nov. 10 with the location to be announced at the conclusion of the regular season schedule.
In total, the Wildcats will play 10 matches at the Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex. Television assignments, the promotional schedule and ticket information for the 2024 season will be announced at a later date.
