LEXINGTON, Ky. – Recent Kentucky swimming graduates Anna Havens Rice and Zane Rosely have been awarded postgraduate scholarships from the NCAA.

The NCAA awards 126 postgraduate scholarships annually to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition.

The one-time, non-renewable scholarships of $10,000 are awarded three times a year corresponding to each sport season (fall, winter and spring). Each sports season there are 21 scholarships available for men and 21 scholarships available for women for use in an accredited graduate program.

Rice graduated from the University of Kentucky this spring with a degree in Chemistry and plans to attend medical school. The native of Greenville, S.C., has accumulated numerous academic and athletic honors during her collegiate career. Among those accolades, Rice is a two-time NCAA qualifier, a 2021 All-America honorable mention in the 400 IM, a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team selection and a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-America awardee. She holds top-10 times in four events at UK.

As an undergraduate, Rosely completed degrees in both Finance and Management this past spring. In the pool, the 2024-23 team captain ranks inside the Kentucky all-time top-10 in five events. He was a 2021 NCAA qualifier individually and competed on the Wildcats’ 800 freestyle relay at the 2023 NCAA Championships. The White Lake, Michigan native is a three-time CSCAA Scholar All-America selection and a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree. This past season, Rosely was named to the SEC Community Service Team and picked as one of Kentucky’s SEC Brad Davis Award Winners.
