Zoe Hammond Named CSC Academic All-District

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis sophomore Zoe Hammond was selected as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District nominee, the committee announced.

The CSC Academic All-District honorees were selected to recognize student-athletes with outstanding academic and athletic achievements. The 2023-2024 season marks the second year in which women’s and men’s tennis has been included as a sport-specific contest. Previously, women’s and men’s tennis student-athletes were recognized as a part of CSC’s At-Large contests.

Working toward a degree in economics with a minor in English, Hammond has maintained a cumulative 4.0 grade point average in her two years at Kentucky. In addition to her excellent work in the classroom, she has also been a consistent competitor on the court for the Wildcats in both singles and doubles play.

With doubles partner Ellie Eades, she saw the highest ITA ranking of No. 84 in late April holding a 5-4 record. Hammond also saw a singles record of 9-7 at the conclusion of the 2024 spring match slate.

Players who qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team.

Select All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 5.
