Isabella Magnelli and Raena Worley to Represent Team 50 at NCAA Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Isabella Magnelli and Raena Worley are set to represent Team 50 as individual qualifiers at the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday at 9 p.m. EST in Dickies Arena.
Magnelli will rotate with Alabama Gymnastics competing on the balance beam while Worley will take her talents to the floor exercise with Utah Gymnastics.
The pair qualified for the national competition after strong performances in the Fayetteville, Ark. Regional earlier this month. The two Wildcats were the highest-placing individuals on beam and floor out of the teams who did not advance to the championships.
In Arkansas, Magnelli posted a 9.900 on the first day of regionals and a second-day 9.800 on beam. Meanwhile, on the floor, Worley posted a 9.950 on both days of regional competition to advance as an individual.
Kentucky gymnastics’ 50th season came to a close in the final round of the Fayetteville Regional held at Bud Walton Arena. The Wildcats tallied a 197.475, but it was not enough to advance to the NCAA Championship. UK ended the season ranked No. 9 overall which tied the second-highest final ranking in program history.
