Isabella Magnelli and Raena Worley Shine at NCAA National Championships
FORT WORTH, Texas – Isabella Magnelli and Raena Worley represented Team 50 as individual qualifiers at the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championships at Dickies Arena on Thursday.
Magnelli rotated with Alabama Gymnastics competing on the balance beam while Worley took her talents to the floor exercise with Utah Gymnastics.
On beam, Magnelli posted a 9.9500 performing a beautiful and balanced routine to close her senior season. Worley completed her collegiate gymnastics career on floor rocking the exercise for the last time earning a 9.9500.
The pair qualified for the national competition after strong performances in the Fayetteville, Ark. Regional earlier this month. The two Wildcats were the highest-placing individuals on beam and floor out of the teams who did not advance to the championships.
Kentucky gymnastics’ 50th season came to a close in the final round of the Fayetteville Regional held at Bud Walton Arena. The Wildcats tallied a 197.475, but it was not enough to advance to the NCAA Championship. UK ended the season ranked No. 9 overall which tied the second-highest final ranking in program history.
