Women’s Tennis Set to Begin SEC Tournament Play on Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 12-seed Kentucky women’s tennis (8-14, 2-11 SEC) will begin a Southeastern Conference Tournament run on Wednesday at 3 p.m. EST in Athens, Ga. facing the 13-seeded Mississippi State Bulldogs (11-15, 1-12 SEC).
The Wildcats enter postseason play with two conference wins over the Bulldogs and Missouri while MSU comes into Wednesday’s match with one SEC victory over the Tigers as well. In the regular season, the Cats and Dogs went head-to-head in Lexington, Ky. where Kentucky came out on top, 4-2.
The winner of the first round will take on 5-seeded Auburn at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
