Annie Riegert Named to SEC Community Service Team
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior Annie Riegert has been named to the 2024 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the conference announced on Friday.
Riegert, a native of Mason, Ohio, has recorded over 50 hours of community service during her time as a Kentucky Wildcat volunteering for the betterment of her Kentucky and Ohio communities.
She has volunteered with God’s Pantry through the University of Kentucky packing food boxes to provide food and necessities to local elementary school students in need. Riegert has also spent time volunteering with the Allegro Dance Project and Kentucky Development Educational Corporation (KDEC) teaching ballet to children with special needs. Her passion for serving children has not stopped there as she has logged many hours serving local Lexington elementary schools including Stonewall, Cassidy and Veterans Elementary Schools.
The junior has spent numerous hours of her time with My New Kentucky Home and Southland Christian Church serving her community and her faith alike. In addition to these wonderful causes, Riegert has also volunteered with Girls on the Run, Kroger, the Red Cross, and the local Lexington Heritage Parade.
Riegert is joined on this year’s community service team with Ella Burgess (Alabama), Maddie Jones (Arkansas), Sophia Groth (Auburn), Chloi Clark (Florida), Haley de Jong (Georgia), Sierra Ballard (LSU), and Amaya Marshall (Missouri).
