LOUISVILLE, Ky – Seven Kentucky divers look to punch their ticket to the 2024 NCAA Championships by competing in the Zone C Diving Championship at the Ralph Wright Natatorium at the University of Louisville, March 14-16.

Both divers on the men’s roster, Sam Duncan and Gavin Hang, were able to qualify for Zones during the 2023-24 season, while Devynn Bishop, Jodi Cobb, Abby Devereaux, Claire McDaniels and Kristy Pfaff are set to represent on the women’s side.

The meet will begin with the women’s 1-meter and men’s 3-meter competitions on Thursday, before divers swap boards on Friday. Diving is set to begin at 1 p.m. on both days. The men’s and women’s platform will be featured on Saturday, with competition starting at 11 a.m. The Zone C Diving Championship can be live streamed here, and live results are available on divemeets.

“Zone C” is one of five zones in the country and is made up of Division I schools from Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana. At the zone meets, the top 18 finishers from the preliminary rounds will advance to the finals. Prelim and final round scores are then added together to determine which divers will advance to the NCAA Championships.

McDaniels (2021), Devereaux (2023), and Duncan (2021, 2022, 2023) are former NCAA qualifiers hoping to return to the national stage again, while Bishop, Pfaff and Hang will make their Zones debut.

There are seven qualifying spots available in both the Men’s and Women’s 1-meter, 10 and 11 respective spots available for the Men’s and Women’s 3-meter, and 8 and 11 available spots for the platform event for the Men’s and Women’s competitors.
