Wildcats Ready For NCAA Indoor Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Kentucky track and field program will send five student-athletes to Boston, Massachusetts this week for the NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by both Boston College and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
The competition begins for UKTF on Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. ET as senior Dennis Ohene-Adu competes in the men’s weight throw.
Graduate student Kennedy Lightner alongside seniors Charity Hufnagel and Keaton Daniel will compete on Friday, March 8 with Hufnagel starting the women’s pentathlon at 9:50 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. Daniel will vault at 2 p.m. while Lightner will run his 200-meter semifinal at 5:40 p.m.
Hufnagel will continue her competition in the high jump on Saturday at 1 p.m. while junior Luke Brown will start his triple jump competition at 3:30 p.m. Should Lightner advance to the 200 meter final, he will run again at 4:50 p.m.

The Wildcats collected two medals at last year’s championships as the women’s squad finished 17th and the men’s team tied for 19th.
