Women’s Soccer’s Tallulah Miller Elected to SEC SAAC Council
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tallulah Miller, a junior goalkeeper on the Kentucky women’s soccer team, has been elected by her peers to serve as vice chair of the Southeastern Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).
The SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council provides an opportunity for SEC student-athletes to engage with campus leaders and conference office staff. Leadership Councils provide a conduit of communication to the conference office on issues related to student-athlete experience, student-athlete wellness and playing rules.
Miller will be joined by Barry Evans of Alabama Track & Field, who will serve as chair of the council.
“I am honored to have been elected by my peers at the SEC level as Vice Chair of the SEC SAAC, a role that carries significant responsibility for all student-athletes in the conference,” Miller said. “My goals during my time in this position are first, to increase awareness among student-athletes about the wealth of resources available to them at their respective universities and, second, to foster stronger communication and collaboration between universities within the conference, ensuring that we collectively uphold the high standards set by the SEC.”
During her time at Kentucky, Miller is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection and was also named to the 2023 SEC Soccer Community Service Team for her contributions to the Lexington community.
The Richmond, Va. native also serves as the Historian on the University of Kentucky Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, an organization which seeks to ensure every student-athlete is supported with a quality environment and the essentials to be competitive.
Miller, who is pursuing a degree in Finance & Management, has made 17 starts and 20 career appearances in goal for the Wildcats tallying 49 saves, seven wins and three shutouts.
