Women’s Tennis Returns Home for Friday Matchup
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis (4-3) will return to the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center after a four-match road stint to host Wichita State (3-2) for an 11 a.m. EST contest.
The Wildcats look to remain undefeated at home following two road losses in Ivy League territory. UK fell 2-4 to Columbia and 3-4 at Princeton. The weekend followed a strong showing at the Carolina Regional of the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C. Kentucky defeated Charlotte 4-3 on the first day of competition but fell 0-4 to No. 1-ranked UNC on the second day.
The Shockers come to Lexington with three wins under their belt against Creighton, Drake and Oral Roberts with two losses to Oklahoma and Kansas State.
The morning matchup will be paired with Kentucky men’s tennis who will take on Harvard at 5 p.m. Free admission and free pizza will be available for both matches while supplies last.
