Wildcats and Tigers to Compete in Friday Evening Dual Meet
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 9 Kentucky gymnastics (2-1) is set to take on Southeastern Conference opponent, No. 11 Auburn (1-2), on Friday evening for an 8:30 p.m. EST dual meet in Neville Arena.
The Wildcats opened their 50th season in Las Vegas, Nev. at the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships last Friday. UK posted a 196.775 placing second in its quad meet with No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 14 Michigan State and No. 20 Michigan. Fifth-year senior Raena Worley won her 21st all-around title setting a new career best on bars (9.975) with four freshmen making their NCAA DI gymnastics debut.
Kentucky and Auburn last went head-to-head in the 2023 season at Memorial Coliseum where the Cats overcame the Tigers, 197.675-196.450. The two programs hold an all-time series record of 10-9 (UK) with the first ever contest taking place in 2007.
