Kentucky Volleyball Finishes 2023 Ranked No. 10 in AVCA Poll
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Volleyball team finished the 2023 season ranked No. 10 in the final American Volleyball Coaches’ Association top-25 coaches’ poll, the organization announced Monday.
The Wildcats closed out the season with a 21-8 overall record and finished the season ranked 17-1 in the Southeastern Conference. Kentucky played 16 matches against ranked teams this season, setting a new program record for the most matches against ranked opposition. The Wildcats also ended the season with the NCAA’s number one strength of schedule.
With Kentucky finishing No. 10 in the AVCA poll, it marked the 116th-consecutive ranking done by the coaches’ association which has featured UK. The Wildcats have been slotted inside the top-25 since the final rankings of the 2015 season without dropping out a single time. UK began the season at No. 10, slid to as low as No. 23, and rose to as high as No. 8 during the course of the season.
The spring schedule will be released shortly for the Kentucky Volleyball team.
