Bryanna Lucas, Zane Rosely to Participate in SEC Career Tour

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky student-athletes Bryanna Lucas of women’s track and field and Zane Rosely of men’s swim and dive will represent the Wildcats at the Southeastern Conference Career Tour, Nov. 28-30, joining 26 other current and former SEC athletes in Atlanta for the three-day event.

This marks the eighth year the league has invited student-athletes from each of its 14 institutions to participate in the career tour leading up to the SEC Football Championship. The goal of the program is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields.

The SEC Career Tour allows student-athletes to connect with human resource recruiters and submit resumes for entry-level jobs and internships while gaining valuable knowledge of professional branding. The group is scheduled to visit the headquarters and meet with executives at several corporations and organizations in the Atlanta area, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Jackson Spalding, Microsoft, Learfield, and Trilith Studios.

Also included on the agenda during the week is a visit with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. The group will have the opportunity to learn insights into building effective business relationships and explore best practices for job seekers.

A senior from Louisville, Kentucky, Lucas is a Kinesiology major with a 3.6 GPA, earning a spot on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Lucas, who participates as a distance runner, helped her team score numerous points at various SEC competitions including achieving the second-fastest distance medley time in school history en route to a bronze medal at the 2021-22 SEC Indoor Championships.

Rosely, a double major in Finance and Management at UK, is a native of White Lake, Mich. with numerous academic and athletic achievements during his time in Lexington. He was a 2021 NCAA qualifier, a member of the 2021 All-SEC Freshman Team and ranks in the program’s all-time top ten in five different events. Academically, Rosely is a two-time member of the CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team and a 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection. He has also been recognized by the SEC on their Winter Academic Honor Roll each of the last two years.
