Wildcats Ready For SEC Outdoor Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky track & field is set to compete at the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships at Louisiana State University this Thursday, May 11 through Saturday, May 13 at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Thursday’s events include day one of the men’s and women’s decathlon and heptathlon, hammer throw and javelin in the field, and the 800, 200, and 400 meter prelims on the track. The only final track event on the day will be the 10,000 meters.
Friday’s events include day two of the men’s and women’s decathlon and heptathlon, shot put, long jump, men’s high jump, and women’s pole vault in the field. On the track will be the 110/100 hurdles, 1,500, 400, and 100 meter prelims. The final track event on the day will be the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
Saturday’s final events include discus throw, triple jump, men’s pole vault, and women’s high jump in the field while on track will be the 4×100 relay, 1,500, 110/100 hurdles, 400, 100, 800, 400 hurdles, 200, 5,000, and 4×400 meter relay finals.
The meet begins at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 CT on Thursday with the decathlon. The heptathlon and field events will begin shortly after at 1:00 p.m. ET/noon CT. Track prelims will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT and will last through 9:15 p.m. ET/8:15 p.m. CT with the women’s 10,000 meters closing out the evening.
Friday’s events begin at noon ET/11 a.m. CT with the decathlon. The heptathlon will begin 45 minutes later before field events start at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT. Track prelims will start at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT and last through 9:20 p.m. ET/8:20 p.m. CT with the women’s 3,000 steeplechase closing the night.
Saturday’s final events will begin at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT with the men’s discus throw and the track final events will take place at 6:05 p.m. ET/5:05 p.m. CT with the men’s 4×100 relay and will last through 9:40 p.m. ET/8:40 p.m. CT with the women’s 4×400 meter relay ending the day.
