by UK ACPR

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 17 Kentucky will look to start a new winning streak on Tuesday evening when it travels to Bowling Green, Ky. to face Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers upset the Wildcats, 7-5, in 2022.

First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT at Nick Denes Field on the WKU campus.

UK (21-3, 5-1 SEC) won two of three games at No. 25 Alabama over the weekend, its first road series win over a ranked SEC opponent since at Ole Miss in 2019. Kentucky did not trail for the first 26 innings of the series before a wacky 8th inning helped the Tide score a pair of runs to win 4-3 on Sunday, ending UK’s nation-long win streak at 17.

The Cats’ RPI power rating has risen to No. 1 according to NCAA.com. They will host No. 25 Missouri this weekend.
