Kentucky Owns 14-Game Win Streak, Longest in 11 Years

by UK ACPR

Fresh off a weekend sweep of Mississippi State and entrance into some of the national Top 25 polls, No. 23 Kentucky will put its 14-game win streak on the line Tuesday night when Eastern Kentucky comes to Kentucky Proud Park. The Colonels upset the Wildcats, 6-3, in 2022.

First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on the SECN+.

UK (18-2, 3-0) currently owns the nation’s longest active win streak and it’s the school’s longest since the 2012 opened the season 22-0. UK has scored 68 runs in its past 38 innings. Redshirt freshman right-hander Travis Smith (2-0, 3.29 ERA) will earn his fifth straight Tuesday midweek start.

The Cats bullied the Bulldogs over the weekend despite below normal temperatures and their RPI power rating has risen to No. 4 according to NCAA.com. They will travel to Alabama this weekend.
