Grome and Goetzinger to Train with USA Volleyball

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Volleyball players Emma Grome and Elise Goetzinger will be attending USA Volleyball’s training session this weekend, in addition to trying out for the 2023 Collegiate National Team.

Try tryout takes place over the weekend, spanning from Feb. 24-26 at the USA Volleyball training center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Additionally, Rutherford has been invited to, and accepted an invitation to train with the USA National Team coaching staff in Anaheim, California and the Collegiate National Team on an extended tryout from March 12-18.

Emma Grome

• SEC Player of the Year in 2022
• SEC Freshman of the Year in 2021
• Led all power-five setters in assists per set

Elise Goetzinger

• 23 kills per set in the 2022 season
• .377 hitting percentage
• 90 blocks per set

Reagan Rutherford

• 78 kills per set in the 2022 season
• .341 hitting percentage
• 74 digs per set
