Kentucky Dance Team Finishes Fifth in UDA Game Day Competition
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky dance team finished fifth in the nation in the Universal Dance Association game day competition, which finished on Friday.
Kentucky entered Friday’s finals in third place but was unable to climb any higher in the standings.
The Wildcats finished second in the nation in hip hop in 2021 but missed the finals in the event last season.
UK head coach Dawn Walters liked how her team performed on Friday.
“This group has worked extremely hard and I’m proud of how we finished in game day,” said UK head coach Dawn Walters. “Now, it’s time to turn our attention to the hip hop competition.”
The hip hop portion of the championships begins on Saturday, with UK competing at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET. The finals for hip hop will be on Sunday.
