Rhodes, Richardson Featured on SEC Preseason Watch List
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s soccer seniors Jordyn Rhodes and Hannah Richardson were named to the 2022 Southeastern Conference Preseason Watch List, the conference announced Wednesday.
The nod marks the third straight appearance for Rhodes on the list, while Richardson is among those recognized for the second time (2020). In all, the SEC coaches placed 67 student-athletes on the preseason list.
Rhodes and Richardson powered the Kentucky attack a year ago, combining to score 19 goals during the 2021 season, the fourth most by a tandem in the country.
Rhodes, a native of South Lebanon, Ohio, is a two-time All-SEC honoree and ranks third all-time in program history with 30 career goals. In 2021, the forward led the Wildcats in goals (11), assists (5), points (27), shots (62) and shots on goal (29).
Richardson has also enjoyed a successful stint in Lexington, registering 18 goals through her first three seasons of action, including eight a season ago. A native of Bartlett, Illinois, Richardson finished the 2021 season with a team-high three multi-goal games to her name.
The 2022 season kicks off tomorrow night when the Wildcats host Ball State at 7 p.m. ET from the Wendall and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex. Admission is free to the public.
