Single Game Sales & Promotional Schedule Announced for 2022 UK Football Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky football’s promotional schedule for the eight-game, 2022 home slate at Kroger Field has been announced.

Single-game tickets for all eight home games will be available to the general public beginning Monday, July 11 at 9 a.m., exclusively online at Ticketmaster.com. Football season ticket holders may take advantage of a presale with exclusive pricing that is currently underway through My UK Account.

Tickets are priced according to a flexible model that takes opponent and seating areas into consideration. Based on opponent and zone, single-game ticket prices will range from $25 to $115.

UK is coming off a fourth straight bowl win, as the Cats topped Iowa in the Citrus Bowl to finish last season with a 10-3 record. The Cats are 47-29 over the last six seasons, all of which have ended in trips to bowl games.

Kentucky will face a demanding home schedule in 2022.  The Cats host defending national champion Georgia as well as intrastate rival Louisville in Lexington this year. Southeastern Conference opponents South Carolina, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt will also visit Kroger Field this season.

Miami (Ohio) – Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.

UK will host Miami (Ohio) in the season opener for both teams on Sept. 3. The season opener will also be Kentucky Cheer Youth Day, with cheerleaders from across the area invited to attend. More information about Kentucky Cheer Youth Day will be announced at a later date.

Youngstown State – Sept. 17 at Noon

The Cats welcome Youngstown State on Sept. 17. The game will be Military Appreciation/Heroes Day and will also be Girl Scouts Day and Kentucky Dance Youth Day.

Through a partnership with GovX, UK Athletics is pleased to offer members of Heroes Day groups one complimentary ticket to the game in addition to specially priced guest tickets by purchasing at UKathletics.com/GovX, while supplies last. Please note, this offer will be available beginning July 18, exclusively online through GovX in advance of game day.

The Sept. 17 game will also be Kentucky Dance Youth Day, with dance teams from across the area invited to attend. More information about this event will be announced at a later date.

Northern Illinois – Sept. 24 (Time TBA)

Kentucky’s third home game of the season will serve as Family Weekend. Hosted by the UK Parent & Family Association, Family Weekend welcomes families of UK students to campus for a weekend full of fall activities. For more information about Family Weekend, visit uky.edu/FamilyWeekend.

Alumni Band Day will take place at Kroger Field on Sept. 24. The University of Kentucky Alumni Band Association is one of the largest and most active alumni associations on campus. Each year, the UK Alumni Band organizes a reunion where they perform with the Wildcat Marching Band at a home football game. Specially priced tickets will be available to participants and their guests for Kentucky’s game vs. Northern Illinois, and information will be communicated to alumni later this summer.

South Carolina – Oct. 8 (7:30 p.m.)

Kentucky and South Carolina get together on the gridiron Ag Roundup weekend on the UK campus. The Oct. 8 game will also be Teacher Appreciation Day.

The game will also take place on Ag Roundup weekend on the UK campus. Ag Roundup will take place all day on Oct. 8 and welcomes alumni and friends of the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. As part of Extra Yard for Teachers at Kroger Field, UK will participate in the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers Week. Extra Yard for Teachers elevates the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering teachers through the implementation of programs in four focus areas: resources, recognition, recruitment and professional development.

All teachers, in addition to University of Kentucky faculty & staff, will be able to purchase specially-priced tickets to Kentucky football’s game vs. South Carolina. More details, including the exclusive online ordering link, will be released soon.  Purchases will be restricted to those with Kentucky public school email address domains (“@COUNTY.kyschools.us”). University of Kentucky faculty & staff purchases will be restricted to those with a UK email address (“@uky.edu”). Mississippi State – Oct. 15 (Time TBA)

UK’s 107th annual Homecoming will take place as the Wildcats play Mississippi State at Kroger Field. Fellow alumni and friends will gather in Lexington for fun and fellowship as UK will celebrate the 107th University of Kentucky Homecoming. Vanderbilt – Nov. 12 (Time TBA)

The Nov. 12 contest against Vanderbilt will be Hall of Fame weekend. UK Athletics will formally induct its 2022 Hall of Fame class this weekend, and the new Hall of Famers will be recognized on the field during the Vanderbilt game.

UK Athletics will pay special tribute to veterans as part of Kentucky football’s annual Salute to Veterans game. More details about this event will be available later this fall.

Fans are encouraged to visit the Chairs of Honor, dedicated during the 2018 season by Rolling Thunder, a non-profit organization dedicated to publicizing the POW/MIA issue. Chairs of Honor are empty black stadium chairs with a plaque dedicating each one to the soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, have been held Prisoner of War, are listed as Missing in Action and those currently serving. These Chairs of Honor are located in each corner of the upper concourse of Kroger Field.

Nov. 12 will also be Boy Scouts Day, with scouts from across the state having access to specially-priced $15 tickets. Scouts will also have the opportunity to partake in the Physical Therapy and First Aid merit badges event in August.

Georgia – Nov. 19 (Time TBA)

Kentucky welcomes defending national champion Georgia to Kroger Field on Nov. 19. Single-game tickets for this highly-anticipated matchup will be limited, and the best way to ensure getting a ticket is to buy a season ticket package.

Louisville – Nov. 26 (Time TBA)

The home slate comes to a close as the Cats host Louisville on Nov. 26. UK will celebrate the 2022 senior class during Senior Day festivities prior to the game.
