No. 8 Kentucky Welcomes Ole Miss for Three-Game Series

by Chris Shoals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 8 Kentucky Softball team will play host to Ole Miss for a three-game series beginning Friday and running through Sunday at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington with two games nationally televised on the SEC Network, including Friday and Saturday’s games.

Friday’s game will start at 6 p.m. ET with Pam Ward and Jenny Dalton-Hill on the call from JCS, along with Saturday’s game at 1 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. Sunday’s series finale will be broadcasted live on the SEC Network+, ESPN+ and the ESPN app with Dave Baker and Carol Bruggeman.

The meeting between UK and Ole Miss will be the first since 2019, as the two teams did not play in 2020 due to the shortened season, and did not play in 2021 due to it being the team’s off cycle in the SEC schedule rotation.

Kentucky is sitting 25-8 overall and 6-3 in the SEC. The Wildcats are currently part of a three-way tie for first place in the league, joined at the top of the standings by Alabama and Arkansas.

Ole Miss is coming off a 2-1 series loss to Arkansas last weekend and is 28-9 on the year with a 4-5 league record through three series.

Tickets for all three games are available at UKathletics.com/tickets.
