Kentucky Softball Selected for 11 National Television Games
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team has been selected for 11 nationally-televised games in 2022, the Southeastern Conference in conjunction with ESPN and the SEC Network announced Tuesday afternoon.
UK will first appear on the SEC Network on Tuesday night, March 22 against the Oklahoma Sooners at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
New this year is T-Mobile’s presenting sponsorship for softball on SEC Network. The late afternoon games on Saturday and Sunday during the regular season as well as the SEC Softball Tournament will be presented by the Un-carrier.
ESPN2 will carry Kentucky’s game at Arkansas on April 16 with the game time shifting to 8 p.m. ET for a national primetime showcase against the defending SEC champion Razorbacks.
SEC Network Softball presented by T-Mobile comes to Lexington for the SEC Monday Night Showcase on April 25 against the Missouri Tigers at 7 p.m. ET.
SEC softball programs will be featured on over 90 broadcasts across ESPN networks for the 2022 season.
SEC Network is slated for nearly 60 games featuring the conference’s 13 softball teams as well as live coverage of the 2022 SEC Softball Tournament, which is set for May 10-14 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.
The 2022 SEC softball season is set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 10, with televised coverage slated to start the following weekend. Conference play begins on Friday, March 11.
