Kentucky Baseball Hosts Dayton in Fall Exhibition Game

Baseball is back in the Bluegrass.
 
Kentucky baseball will host the first of two fall exhibition games on Saturday, Sept. 25 when Dayton arrives at Kentucky Proud Park. First pitch is at 1 p.m.ET and admission is free. Concessions available will include dry goods, popcorn, candy and bottled drinks. A live audio stream featuring Darren Headrick also will be available on UKAthletics.com.
 
NCAA rules allow for schools to play two games against outside competition during the fall. The Wildcats also will host Lipscomb on Saturday, Oct. 16.
 
The Cats are entering their sixth season under head coach Nick Mingione and have won 143 games during his tenure, including a 29-win season in 2021. The Wildcats added eight Division I-A transfers during the offseason and boast one of the deepest pitching staffs in recent memory with the return of the entire weekend rotation, talented bullpen and experienced transfers.
