Wildcats Earn 10 Wins at Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, KY. – In their penultimate tournament of the fall 2021 season, the Kentucky Wildcats combined for 10 wins at the Louisville Invitational last weekend.
 
Sophomore Yasha Zemel contributed to four of those wins, making a run to the final round of the singles main draw. After a 1-0 mark in doubles play alongside Jonathan Sorbo, the 6-foot-3 Haifa, Israel, native earned singles wins over Marko Galic of Toledo, Luka Vukovic of Indiana and Pawit Sornlaksup of Toledo before falling to Michael Andre of Indiana in the championship match.
 
Junior Alexandre LeBlanc earned four wins of his own, including a 2-0 mark in doubles play. He and his partner JJ Mercer reached the final of the main draw before the match was ultimately left unplayed.
 
Kentucky will conclude its fall slate at the ITA National Fall Championships on Nov. 4-7 in San Diego.
