LEXINGTON, Ky.  – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer program added Matilda Liljefors to its roster, it was announced by head coach Ian Carry on Tuesday morning. The Sweden native will be eligible for competition this spring.

Liljefors is an experienced forward hailing from Malmo, Sweden. The newcomer played in the senior league for Trelleborgs FF, while she also represented her country at the U-16, U-17 and U-19 levels.

Her goalscoring mentality and high-soccer IQ, combined with the experience, speed and strength of fellow forwards Emily Hähnel, Miranda Jimenez, Jordyn Rhodes and Hannah Richardson helps add depth to Kentucky’s frontline.

The Wildcats concluded the fall season ranked seventh in the Southeastern Conference in goals (15), goals per game (1.67) and points (37).
