Kentucky Softball Voting on All-Decade Team
Order of Voting
Thursday, August 27 – Catchers (Voting finished)
Friday, August 28 – First Base (Voting finished)
Saturday, August 29 – Second Base (Voting finished)
Sunday, August 30 – Third Base (Voting finished)
Monday, August 31 – Shortstops (Voting finished)
Tuesday, September 1 – Outfield (Voting finished)
Wednesday, September 2 – DP/Utility (Voting finished)
Thursday, September 3 – Pitchers (VOTE NOW HERE)
Friday, September 4 – Final Team Revealed
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team will once again call on Big Blue Nation’s assistance, as the program will be allowing fans to participate in the selection of the Kentucky Softball All-Decade Team, which is set to kick off on Thursday at Noon ET.
To be eligible for inclusion, the finalists were selected by position and were selected based off their on- and off-the-field contributions to the Kentucky Softball program. All players that played in at least one season from 2010-2020 were eligible, with the exception of any players currently on the roster.
Voting will be counted in 24-hour windows per position, with the total votes amassed between @UKSoftball on Twitter, @UKSoftball on Instagram and UKathletics.com determining the spots on the All-Decade Team.
The final team will consist of one (1) pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, DP/Utility player and three (3) total outfielders regardless of specific outfield position. The final team will be announced via social media and online Friday, Sept. 4.
The first position group will be the catchers, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Noon ET through the three avenues listed above.
