Men’s Golf Adds Mason Rudolph Championship in 2019
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s golf team has added a three-day, 54-hole event to its 2019 spring slate, head coach Brian Craig announced on Wednesday.
The Wildcats will tack on the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt to its schedule. The event will take place April 5-7 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee. Kentucky’s addition to the field comes after one of its four fall events, the Bearcat Invitational, was canceled due to inclement weather.
Kentucky has appeared in the Mason Rudolph Championship three times under Craig’s direction, the last coming in September of 2008. The Wildcats have placed second, sixth and ninth in their three appearances in the event under Craig.
UK begins the spring portion of its schedule Feb. 23-24 in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Seminole Intercollegiate. That event will take place over two days and feature 54 holes of action.
