Gruver, McLaughlin on Pre-NCAA Indoor Bowerman Watch List

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Recently crowned Southeastern Conference Event Champion Wildcats Olivia Gruver Sydney McLaughlin have been named to the Pre-NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Bowerman Watch List.
 
Gruver recorded the second-best pole vault mark in indoor collegiate history at 15’3.75″ en route to her first conference title.
 
McLaughlin won the SEC 400m with a historic time of 50.52, good for the second-best mark in indoor collegiate history, the collegiate freshman record and world junior record. McLaughlin also helped the Wildcats claim bronze in the 4×400 at the SEC Championships with a finish of 3:31.96.
 
Both Gruver and McLaughlin lead the NCAA in the event they won SEC titles in. McLaughlin is also ranked ninth nationally in the 200m.

The Wildcats will conclude the indoor track and field season March 8-9 at the NCAA Indoor Championships inside Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, Texas.
