by Jake Most

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky track and field season will get under way on Friday at the Hoosier Open inside Gladstein Field House on the Indiana University Campus.

The Wildcats will test their fall training before breaking for the winter holidays.

Friday’s meet will be UK’s first track competition under Head Coach Lonnie Greene’s direction.

The Wildcats have 70 entries in Friday’s meet, which will provide a benchmark to test against when the athletes return to campus in early January after final exams and the holidays.
