LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s soccer junior JJ Williams earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday.

Williams previously earned the award on Sept. 3 and 10.

The forward scored in each of No. 3-ranked Kentucky’s two wins last week.

The junior scored once in the Wildcats’ 4-0 win over in-state foe Evansville. At Florida Atlantic, Williams scored the game-winner with two minutes remaining in regulation.

The crucial conference win propelled Kentucky to the top of the men’s soccer table with 18 points, tied with Old Dominion who they play in their final regular-season match to determine the conference regular-season champion.

Williams has a C-USA-leading 14 goals and 33 points this season, including a C-USA-leading seven game-winners, ranked No. 2 in the nation.

He has the fourth most goals in the nation overall, and ranks No. 8 in Division I in goals per game (.88) as well as points per game (2.06 – C-USA leader).
