UKathletics.com to Offer Behind-The-Scenes Signing Day Live Stream

LEXINGTON, Ky. – UKathletics.com will once again offer wall-to-wall behind-the-scenes coverage as Kentucky football welcomes its 2016 class on Signing Day.

Signing Day coverage on UKathletics.com, brought to you by Kentucky Farm Bureau, will begin at 8 a.m. ET on Feb. 3 and continue late into the morning. For the third year in a row, Kentucky Wildcats TV will produce its groundbreaking webcast live from UK football war room, this time located in the recruiting room at Commonwealth Stadium. The live stream will be broadcast live on UKathletics.com and SEC Network +.

In addition to being the source for news when the latest signees become official members of Mark Stoops’ fourth recruiting class, the live stream will feature exclusive access to Stoops and his staff. Christi Thomas and Matt Jones will host the show and Dick Gabriel and Jeremy Jarmon will interview coaches and other guests. Jeff Piecoro and Freddie Maggard will break down film of the signees and show why the newest Wildcats project as the future stars of UK football in the “Xs and Os Room.”

Coverage will extend well beyond the live stream. Fans can join the conversation and ask questions on Twitter by using the hashtag #B16BlueNation and the best tweets will appear on the live stream. Additionally, Cat Scratches will host its annual live chat, where fans can interact in real-time with assistant coaches and other special guests.

Fans will also be able to follow along on the Kentucky Wildcats Gameday app, available for download on the App Store and Google Play. Find “Signing Day Central” in the app by going to the “More” tab, “Fan Guide,” and clicking on “Signing Day Central.” Be sure to turn on your Football “Event” alerts for real-time signee updates throughout the morning.

Following live coverage in the morning, Stoops and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow will meet with the media in a press conference streamed live on UKAthletics.com at 1 p.m.

Note: Only the UK Athletics Department can officially announce signees after the National Letters of Intent are received and verified.
