On April 13, 2013, John Cropp Stadium was officially dedicated as the new home of the Kentucky softball program. Named in honor of the longtime UK Athletics administrator, John Cropp Stadium features 1,500 seats, a spacious press box, two luxury suites and a first-class indoor hitting/fielding facility complete with a locker room, team lounge and offices. The new facility paid immediate dividends, as UK made its first-ever trip to the Women’s College World Series barely a year after John Cropp Stadium officially opened.
