Tent City Live Presented by Papa John’s Set for Thursday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UK Sports Network will once again join fans for the Big Blue Madness Campout Thursday, with the return of “Tent City Live presented by Papa John’s.”
Broadcasting from the Coca-Cola Stage, now located between the Joe Craft Center and Wildcat Coal Lodge, the live stream will air Thursday, Sept. 29 from 7-10 p.m. ET on UKathletics.com/tentcitylive and via the official UK Gameday App. Fans in Lexington can also tune in to 630 WLAP-AM to listen to the radio broadcast of the show.
Christi Thomas and Dave Baker return as hosts for the show and will welcome members of the UK men’s basketball team and several special guests, including:
Mitch Barnhart – UK athletics director
Makayla Epps – UK women’s basketball guard and preseason All-American
Lin Dunn – UK women’s basketball assistant coach
Tom Leach – the Voice of the Wildcats for the UK Radio Network
Mike Pratt – UK All-American and UK Radio Network color analyst
Kenny Walker – UK All-American
Jared Prickett – former UK forward and member of three Final Four teams
In addition to “Tent City Live presented by Papa John’s,” the Coca-Cola Stage will also be the setting for interactive sponsor promotions and fan events, including a live performance on Wednesday from the acoUstiKats and Paws and Listen, the University of Kentucky’s male and female student a cappella groups, respectively. Fans will also be treated to live music performances on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from DJ Coleman, a popular local DJ and UK graduate.
Coke will have an inflatable football toss and photo station backdrop on site for fans to share pictures of the campout. Specialty Foods Group will once again be on-site with a Fischer’s hot dog grilling station to help feed fans Thursday. Academy Sports + Outdoors returns as sponsor of Thursday’s “Wildcat Trivia Challenge,” providing an opportunity for lucky fans to test their UK sports knowledge against one another for a chance to win a grand prize package.
Finally, one of the most popular events to close out the evening will be the pizza handout to fans by Papa John’s, the Official Pizza of UK Athletics
