• Kentucky is 1-2, 0-1 in the Southeastern Conference.  New Mexico State is 1-2, 0-0 in the Sun Belt Conference. 

• This was the first all-time meeting between the two schools with Kentucky now leading the series, 1-0. 

• New Mexico State is the second of four non-conference opponents this season for Kentucky. The Wildcats will host Austin Peay on Nov. 19 and travel to top-10 ranked Louisville on Nov. 26. 

• Kentucky will return to action Sat. Sept. 24, playing host to South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on SEC Network and broadcast on the UK Sports Radio Network. 

• UK’s game captains were wide receiver Jeff Badet, center Jon Toth, defensive end Courtney Miggins and linebacker Courtney Love. 

• The two teams combined for 104 total points, which is the most combined points scoring in a non-overtime game in school history. 

• Kentucky’s 692 total yards are its most ever in a home game. 

        o The offensive output is the second most in school history. 

• Kentucky had a 100-yard rushing and 100-yard receiver in the game for the first time since accomplishing the feat against Auburn on Oct. 15, 2015. Against the Tigers, Boom Williams had 113 rushing yards and Garrett Johnson had 160 receiving yards. 

• With two interceptions Saturday, Kentucky has six in three games this season. The Wildcats entered the game tied for first in the SEC with four interceptions. 

        o Kentucky has now created a turnover in nine straight games, which is the longest streak for the Wildcats since they accomplished the feat in 10 straight games from Nov. 23, 2013 to Oct. 25, 2014. 

        o Kentucky has six interceptions on the season, which is the most interceptions through the first three games of the season since 2011. 

• Kentucky had two players (Boom Williams and Benny Snell Jr.) run for more than 100 yards. It marks the first time the Wildcats have had two players run for 100 yards or more since Jojo Kemp and Williams did it vs. Charlotte on Nov. 21.

        o It’s also the first game UK has run for 300 or more rushing yards in a game since the Charlotte game on Nov. 21.

• Kentucky had 28 first downs in the game, which is the most since having 30 first downs against Mississippi State on Oct. 25, 2015. 

• Since at least 1985, Saturday’s game was the first time that Kentucky has had at least 300 rushing yards and at least 300 passing yards in the same game. 

• Kentucky averaged 9.2 yards per play on offense, which is the most since Aug. 30, 2014 against Tennessee-Martin when the Wildcats averaged 10.8 yards per play. 

• UK has scored in the first quarter in each of its last 13 non-conference home games. 

• The Wildcats have a touchdown play of at least 53 yards in each of their last five home games. 

• Since 1997, UK has scored at least 34 points in 37 of its 55 non-conference home games. 

• Junior quarterback Stephen Johnson finished the game 17-for-22 with a career-high 310 yards passing and a career-high three touchdowns – all three were to tight end C.J. Conrad.  

        o Since 1995, Johnson has the longest first-career touchdown pass for a UK player when he connected for 72 yards to Conrad. 

        o Johnson is the second quarterback in school history to pass for at least 300 yards within their first two career games played. The other was Jared Lorenzen against Louisville on Sept. 2, 2000. 

        o Johnson is the first UK quarterback with at least 300 passing yards and at least 50 rushing yards since Patrick Towles vs. Mississippi State on Oct. 25, 2014. 

• Senior wide receiver Ryan Timmons has 1,030 receiving yards for his career, becoming the 26th player in school history to reach 1,000 career receiving yards. 

        o Timmons ranks 25th in school history in career receiving yards following the game. 

• Junior wide receiver Garrett Johnson has 1,139 career receiving yards to rank 22nd all-time in career receiving yards. Johnson needs 61 yards to tie Steve Johnson for 21st all-time on that list.  

• Junior running back Stanley “Boom” Williams has 1,682 career rushing yards and ranks 14th on the career rushing list at Kentucky. Williams needs five more yards to equal Ive Joe Hunter for 13th all-time. 

        o Career-high 181 rushing yards in the game

        o Eighth career 100-yard game – first of the season 

        o 16th player in school history with at least 1,600 yards in a career. 

        o Williams’ 181 yards was the eighth-most by a UK player at Commonwealth Stadium. 

        o His 181 yards were the most by a UK player in Commonwealth Stadium since Artose Pinner vs. Vanderbilt on Nov. 16, 2002 when he had 224 yards. 

        o Williams is the fifth player in UK history to have at least three career games of at least 135 rushing yards at Commonwealth Stadium. The last UK player to accomplish this feat was Artose Pinner. 

• Junior kicker Austin MacGinnis ranks seventh on the career scoring list with 179 points. He needs 13 more points to equal Craig Yeast for sixth all-time. 

• Sophomore ticket end C.J. Conrad caught five passes for a career-high 133 yards. His previous career high was 56 yards vs. Mississippi State, Oct. 24, 2015. 

        o Conrad is the first UK tight end with three touchdown catches in a game since James Whalen vs. Georgia on Oct. 23, 1999.  

        o Conrad is the first UK player with three receiving touchdowns in the game since Dicky Lyons, Jr., who had three against Florida on Oct. 20, 2007. 

        o Conrad’s 72-yard receiving touchdown was a career-high reception. 

        o Conrad is the only UK player in school history at Commonwealth Stadium to have at least 133 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in a game. 

        o Conrad is the first UK tight end with 100 receiving yards in a game since Jacob Tamme vs. Tennessee on Nov. 24, 2007. 

        o Conrad’s 133 receiving yards was the third-most by a tight end in a game in school history. It is the most in a game by a tight end since James Whalen had 151 yards against Georgia in 1999. 

        o Conrad’s 133 receiving yards was the 10th most by a player at Commonwealth Stadium. 

        o Conrad’s 133 receiving yards is the second most by a tight end in CWS history. 

• Benny Snell is the first Kentucky true freshman to rush for 100 yards since Boom Williams vs. UofL in 2014 when he had 126 yards. 

        o Snell earned his first career touchdown in the game and totaled four rushing scores on the night. 

        o His four touchdowns tied the school record for most rushing touchdowns in a single game, joining four previous Wildcats to reach that mark. He is only the second freshman to do it, tying Don Phelps’ four scores vs. Michigan State on Nov. 2, 1946. 

        o Snell had the most rushing yards by a true freshman at UK since Derek Homer vs. Tennessee on Nov. 22, 1997. 

• Junior wide receiver Jeff Badet had three catches for a career-high 89 yards, averaging 29.7 yards per reception. Badet is now averaging 34.3 yards per catch this season.  

        o Badet’s previous career high was 80 yards vs. Miami (Ohio) Sept. 7, 2013. 

• Sophomore cornerback Derrick Baity made his second career interception in the game in the fourth quarter. His first career pick was last week at Florida. 

• Junior wide receiver Charles Walker returned a 65-yard punt for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, marking Kentucky’s first punt return for a touchdown since Randall Cobb accomplished the feat on Sept. 11, 2010 against WKU. 

        o Walker’s 65-yard return was the longest punt return for a touchdown since Randall Cobb had a 73-yard punt return for a touchdown against Louisiana-Monroe on Oct. 24, 2009. 

• Sophomore safety Mike Edwards had a career-high 12 tackles to lead Kentucky. His previous career high was eight stops against Tennessee last season.

        o Edwards also had a career-high three pass breakups in the game. 

• Junior defensive lineman Alvonte Bell ended the game with a career high seventh stops. 

• Junior defensive lineman Courtney Miggins ended the game with a career high five tackles. 

        o Miggins also had a career-high two pass breakups in the game.
