Kentucky Men’s Soccer to Play Louisville Tuesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The seventeenth-ranked Kentucky men’s soccer team will welcome Louisville to The Bell on Tuesday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
Back by popular demand the match has been designated an “Abe Out.”
The setup
Tuesday’s match will pit two sides undefeated this early season against one another as the 2-0-1 Wildcats face 2-0-1 Louisville  – winner of two-straight including over No. 14 Connecticut last week.
Kentucky is 10-8-4 v Louisville all-time. Louisville has won two in a row in the series.
The last time the two teams met in Lexington – 2014 – Louisville emerged the winner in front of a then-record crowd at The Bell. Both teams traded goals within a 13-minute span after the hour mark, and then Louisville’s Tim Kubel scored the winner in the 78th minute.
The quote
“We’ve had a strong start to the season,” senior MAC Hermann Award Watch List member Jordan Wilson said. “We’ve got a lot of positives to take into this Louisville match. It’s a big rivalry. The boys are excited, amped up and ready to go.”
The Abe Out logistics
Back by popular demand in 2016 after a successful debut for the Kentucky v Louisville match two years ago, this year’s in-state rivalry matchup will again be an “Abe Out.”
Multiple President Abraham Lincoln-themed promotions are planned.
Admission to the game for UK fans dressed in Wildcat blue will be one penny each, with no change given. Full-price tickets are $5 for the general public and $2 for youth and seniors.
Additionally, a $16 Abe Lincoln bobble leg family package is available in advance of the match, while supplies last. The package includes five general admission tickets and a commemorative Abe Lincoln bobble leg. The bobble leg family package is available on UKAthletics.com (sold via ticketmaster).

Tickets will be left at will call and the bobble-leg will be available for pickup Tuesday evening. The limit is 250 packages.
Fans are also encouraged to attend the match dressed in mid-19th century attire (top hats, bow ties and puffy shirts encouraged).
The promotional campaign is built on the premise that the Wildcats were Lincoln’s team, as the 16th President of the United States was born in Kentucky.
Kentucky’s 600-plus season ticket holders can wear their 2016 Kentucky Soccer scarves to gain admission.
Parking for the match is first come first served located outside the stadium’s main entrance. Overflow parking will be available above the soccer practice pitch and then below as lots fill.
The first 250 fans in attendance will get a commemorative Kentucky v Louisville match poster.
UK players will sign autographs on the side of the pitch following the match weather-permitting.
