Tune in to the Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff Show

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UK Radio Network begins its game day coverage two hours before kickoff with the return of the “Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff” hosted by Christi Thomas and former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard.

The show for Saturday, Sept. 3 begins at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Thomas and Maggard will host the first hour of pregame coverage from outside the Nutter Field House, near Gate 1 at Commonwealth Stadium. With tailgaters and the team nearby, the show will mix football insights with the atmosphere of fans and tailgaters. 

Along with listening on-air or online, a live video broadcast of the show featuring extra highlights and interviews with Kentucky players will be available simultaneously on ukathletics.com and the UK Gameday app. 

The show is carried by UK Radio Network affiliates including WLAP-630AM in Lexington. 

The Cats play-by-play team of Tom Leach and Jeff Piecoro will continue pregame coverage from the radio booth for the final hour prior to kickoff.
