UK to Host Pregame Concert for Missouri Game

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the third time in as many home games, UK Athletics will host a pregame concert before Kentucky football takes on Missouri on Saturday. The concert will feature the Bobby Perry Band.

The concert will be held next to the Glenn Infiniti of Lexington Green Lot adjacent to Gate 1 of The New Commonwealth Stadium. The Bobby Perry Band will play starting at 3 p.m. before breaking for the Cat Walk at 5:15 p.m. and playing an encore afterward.

Based in Lexington, the Bobby Perry Band is comprised of five Kentucky natives and former Wildcat basketball player Bobby Perry. Perry was a forward on the men’s basketball team from 2004-2007 and now plays piano for the country band. The Bobby Perry Band just released its first album, Just A Song Away. The album is available on iTunes.

Single-game tickets for the Missouri game are available to the public now, as well as limited season tickets and mini-packs. Tickets can be purchased by visiting ukfootballtix.com. UK has had sellout crowds in each of its first two home games.

Kentucky is off to a 2-1 start to the 2015 season after a hard-fought 14-9 loss to Florida this weekend. The Wildcats will play host to two-time Southeastern Conference Eastern Division champion Missouri (3-0) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The New CWS opened earlier this month after a $126 million renovation transformed the longtime home of Kentucky football. The stadium features a striking exterior; new concourses, concessions and restrooms; premium-seating areas; new team facilities; and a state-of-the-art recruiting room.
