MISSION STATEMENT
A central component of the Athlete Development and Performance Division, the University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Staff strives to provide state-of-the-art medical care to each and every student-athlete.  The Athletic Training Staff coordinates and delivers professional and comprehensive preventative treatment, evaluation, and rehabilitation to 22 teams at UK. This care is overseen by a team of physicians from UK Healthcare that consists of Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons, and several other physicians in specialty areas.  The UK Athletic Training Staff is comprised of the Director of Sports Medicine, Head Athletic Trainer, 10 staff athletic trainers, and 8 graduate-assistants.
