Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky is 4-3, 1-3 in the Southeastern Conference. South Carolina is 4-2, 2-2 in the SEC.
• The win over the Gamecocks, snaps a 10-game losing streak for the Wildcats.
• South Carolina leads the series 14-7-1. Kentucky has won one in a row. 
• South Carolina leads the series 8-4 in games played in Lexington.  
• This marks the first time in school history that a Kentucky football team has defeated a Steve Spurrier coached team. Previously, Spurrier was 17-0 vs. Kentucky.
• Kentucky’s next game is Saturday, Oct. 23, at home vs. Georgia.  Game time is 7:30 p.m. and it will be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS).

UK Team Notes

• South Carolina won the toss and elected to receive.
• Kentucky has gathered over 350 yards of total offense in every game this season.
• Kentucky’s last win over a ranked opponent was in 2007 when the Wildcats defeated No. 1 LSU 43-37 in triple overtime at Commonwealth Stadium. 
• UK has thrown for at least 200 yards in every game this season.
• Kentucky created four turnovers defensively, the most UK has forced all season.
• UK had 401 yards of total offense, the most since gaining 424 yards of total offense at Ole Miss.
• UK converted nine third downs (9-of-19), the most since going 9-of-17 on third down vs. EKU in 2009.
• Kentucky shutout South Carolina in the second half, the last time a UK defense shutout an opponent in the second stanza was Vanderbilt on Nov. 14, 2009.
• The Wildcat defense limited South Carolina to 103 yards of total offense in the second half.
• Kentucky’s 95-yard scoring drive in the third quarter was the longest scoring drive of the season for Kentucky. UK had a 10 play, 92 yard scoring drive vs. Louisville in the season opener.
• With the win, Kentucky has now posted 13 come-from-behind victories in the fourth quarter since mid-season of 2006. The last fourth-quarter comeback was a 34-27 win at Georgia on Nov. 21, 2009.
• UK was 3-for-3 on fourth downs in the game and is now 10-for-13 on fourth downs this season. The Wildcats have converted five straight on fourth down.

• Mike Hartline completed 32 of 42 passes for 349 yards and four touchdowns.

• Hartline become the eighth player in UK history to reach 4,000 yards passing in his career
• Hartline now has 4,293 career passing yards and ranks seventh on UK’s all-time list. He needs 58 more passing yards to tie Babe Parilli (1949-51) for sixth place.
• With one touchdown scored, Cobb now has 33 touchdowns in his career, making him ion sole possession of first place on UK’s career touchdowns scored list.
• Cobb tied a career high in receptions with eight in the game, becoming the 12th player in school history with at least 100 receptions.
• Cobb scored eight points in the game and now has scored 202 career points. He is in fifth place on UK’s career scoring list and needs 24 points to tie Taylor Begley (2002-05) for fourth on the career scoring list.
• Cobb totaled 160 all-purpose yards with 27 rushing yards, 63 receiving yards and 75 kick-off return yards, moving into 10th on UK’s career all-purpose yards list. Cobb passes Anthony White (1996-99) and now needs 149 yards to match Dicky Lyons Sr., (1966-68) for ninth.
• Donald Russell had a career-high 18 rushes for 41 yards. Russell also caught a career-high seven passes for a career high 70 yards receiving.
• Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy each collected 10 tackle or more, marking the first time a UK duo has made at least 10 stops since Nov. 21, 2009 at Georgia.
• Danny Trevathan led UK with 11 tackles, including one tackle-for-loss and a forced fumble.
• Trevathan has led UK in tackles in six of its seven games this season, including double-digit tackles in three straight games.
• Ryan Tydlacka punted twice for over 50 yards and totaled three punts inside the 20 yard line.
• Craig McIntosh made one field goals in the game, hitting from 26 yards. The Lexington, Ky., native has now made five consecutive field goals.
• Donald Russell earned his first career start.
