LEXINGTON, Ky.  –  University of Kentucky junior forward Victoria Dunlap and freshman guard A’dia Mathies earned Full Court Press All-America honors by a voting panel of Full Court Press correspondents from across America . Dunlap was named to the second team while Mathies was second team on the Freshman All-America squad.

Dunlap (Nashville, Tenn.), also a State Farm/WBCA, Associated Press and USWBA All-American, led the Wildcats to a remarkable, record-breaking season which included the most wins in school history (28), a second-place finish in the Southeastern Conference with a school-best 11 league wins, UK’s first NCAA Tournament berth since 2006 and its first Regional Final appearance since 1982. Dunlap paced UK in nearly every statistical category, averaging 18.1 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game. She was named UK’s first-ever SEC Player of the Year and after 31 points and 13 rebounds vs. Oklahoma in the NCAA Elite Eight, Dunlap became just the third player in school history to chart over 1,000 points and 800 rebounds in a career. She was an All-SEC first team selection and was named to the SEC All-Tournament team and Kansas City Regional All-Tournament team.

Mathies (Louisville, Ky.), UK’s first freshman All-American since Valerie Still in 1980, was the team’s second-leading scorer with 13.6 points per game. Also named the school’s first SEC Freshman of the Year, Mathies charted 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game while breaking the school freshman record for steals with 93. That mark ranked fifth on UK’s single-season list. Overall, she was among UK’s all-time freshmen leaders in 11 different categories, including ranking second in points with 491. Additionally, Mathies was a unanimous All-SEC freshman team selection, was named to the All-SEC second team and was an All-SEC Tournament team honoree.
